Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
The short version: we collect what we need to run the Site, deliver your camera, and make pawcasts from the clips you upload. We don't sell your data. You can delete it at any time.
1. What we collect
- Contact information — your name and email, when you join the waitlist or contact support.
- Payment information — processed securely through Stripe. We don't store card numbers or CVV codes on our servers.
- Usage data — pages you view, which landing variant you arrived on, and scroll depth, so we can tell which version of the page is working.
- Clip footage and pet profile — once your camera is active and you've set up a pet profile, the video uploaded to us and the profile data you enter (pet name, breed, favorite spots) are used to generate your pawcasts.
2. How we use it
- Send order updates, shipping windows, and account emails
- Generate your pawcasts from uploaded footage
- Improve which landing variants and features work best
- Send marketing emails only if you opted in — unsubscribe anytime
3. Third parties we share with
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional and marketing email
- Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery
- Meta — advertising pixel, only if you arrived from a Meta ad
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Motion-triggered clips of people and other animals
Because a pawcast is recorded from your dog's perspective, it may capture walkers, family, strangers on the sidewalk, or other dogs. Public-space recording is legal in most US jurisdictions, but the right answer on how Pawcast should handle the footage is still evolving. [TODO: finalize data policy for third-party subjects before we open the consumer sharing features. Until then, stored clips are private to the account that captured them.]
5. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, have it deleted, or opt out of marketing email at any time. Email us through the contact form and we'll respond within 30 days.
6. Security
HTTPS in transit, encryption at rest, Stripe for payments. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.
