Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of pawcastcamera.com and the Pawcast products and services. They are a boilerplate stand-in while we're in validation phase. [TODO: full legal review before first shipment.]

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using pawcastcamera.com (the "Site"), joining the waitlist, or placing a preorder deposit, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.

2. Preorder Deposits & Refunds

Pre-ordering a Pawcast charges the full $99 launch price today. The $99 pre-order is fully refundable on request at any point before your camera ships. Payments are processed through Stripe. If we ultimately cannot ship to you, for any reason, we will refund you in full and without fees.

3. Products & Claims

Pawcast hardware is a consumer camera and harness accessory. It is not a medical device, a GPS tracker, or a pet monitoring security system. Footage and AI-generated summaries ("pawcasts") are for personal enjoyment and sharing. We do not guarantee uptime, editing quality, or that any given clip will be captured.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, images, product designs, and the Pawcast name and marks — is the property of Pawcast and its parent, Permill Studio. You retain all rights to the footage your camera records; we only use it to deliver the service you subscribed to.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pawcast and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or any Pawcast product. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in Delaware on an individual basis.
